About This Project

Chelsea Concept Proposal – Thomas Hoblyn

Following a conversation with Thomas Hoblyn a concept proposal was developed based on the idea of a faux ruin woodland garden.

Working closely with Tom, the idea progressed into the form of a wet woodland concept of a lost ruin. A  stream cascades via a breach in the wall and forms an enclosed pool underneath a collapsed floor, with steps leading down into the ‘deep’ water. Naturalistic Woodland planning radiates out to a more organised planting scheme.

‘Repairs’ with the use of stacked glass elements provide a link to regeneration and linking the old with the new, the natural and informal to the formal.

Sponsorship is currently under negotiation.
