About This Project

Hagley Hall Visitors Centre – Planting scheme

In support of a planning application for a proposed visitors centre submitted by the architects, a planting scheme was required to include the planting around the visitors centre itself as well as the car park, screening bund, entrance gates and driveway.

The Tree officer requested a complimentary native scheme to match the surrounding woodland landscape, while the client also wanted an ornamental and distinguished planting scheme to compliment the Hall and formal landscape.

A combination of the two produced a planting scheme that was happily accepted by the tree officer and the client, who was delighted.

The planning application was finally accepted on the submission of the planting scheme and schedule.
